The Clinicians behind TheraVis

Niamh Garavin and Joanne Fine are therapists with decades of experience in OT and SLT. CORU-registered and leaders in their fields, they have worked across diverse settings, delivered expert training, and specialize in supporting children, families, and educators through evidence-based, compassionate care.

Joanne Fine

Joanne Fine is a Speech & Language Therapist currently working privately in South County Dublin with young persons in schools, private clinics, Enable Ireland and the HSE. She previously worked in the HSE in Dublin South Early Intervention and School Age Teams, the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT), Primary Care Speech & Language Therapy Services and Enable Ireland. She was a founding board member of PRISM DLR (Parent Resource & Information Support Meeting needs), an Autism family support charity. She was involved in setting up and running a Foroige Youth Group for Autistic teenagers. Joanne has run community based inclusive and Autism specific lego groups as well as Lego and social communication camps. Joanne is CORU registered and is a member of the IASLT and has been a committee member of the Special Interest Group for Speech & Language therapists working in the field of Autism. Joanne is a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about working holistically to empower young people to express their authentic individual selves and improve their quality of life for them and their families. Her approach combines evidence-based practices with creativity and compassion

Niamh Garavin

Niamh Garavin is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of expertise, specializing in working with children, young people, and families for the past 15 years. She is passionate about empowering children to thrive by addressing challenges in attention, motivation, motor and visual perceptual skills, executive function, sensory preferences, and daily living skills. Niamh has worked across diverse settings, including School Age Teams, Early Intervention Teams, Children's Disability Network Teams, Primary Care, and Private Practice. Her experience includes designing and delivering training sessions for parents, teachers, foster carers, and allied health professionals. A CORU-registered member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI), Niamh is committed to high standards of care and innovation. She is particularly interested in sensory regulation, helping children and families build confidence, self-esteem, and meaningful participation in daily life. Niamh collaborates with families, teachers, and professionals to create practical solutions that support children’s potential, ensuring they feel understood, valued, and capable of succeeding.
